THE GEORGIAN GROUP
An exciting new image of the Dagnams mansion has recently come to our attention (2006). It is in the Pardoe collection, which belongs to the charity known as The Georgian Group. We are extremely fortunate in that the Georgian Group have provided us with a digital image and allowed us to show the water colour on the Friends website. It's too late for us but “The Georgian Group” is the charity dedicated to preserving Georgian buildings and gardens. Each year they are consulted on over 6,000 planning applications involving demolition or alterations. They state “We are not opposed to change, but our intervention has helped protect many buildings from unsympathetic alterations. It is often through our influence that a better solution is found. But it¹s vital that we do more, and we need your help.
You can help us to preserve and enhance our Georgian heritage by joining The Georgian Group today for just £2.50 per month. As well as receiving benefits, your membership will help fund our continued work and influence planning policies for the better”
